Instrument panel woes

Hello-

I removed the instrument panel from my 1977 F150 Ranger XLT in order to install a new dash pad. I removed the stock radio and heater/AC controls since I plan to put new AC in this truck. When I reconnected the instrument panel, I noticed that the only gauges working were the ammeter, speedometer, high/low beam indicator and the instrument panel lighting. The turn signals, oil pressure, fuel level and engine temp gauges are not working. I swapped out the instrument panel for a new one and I still have the same issue. I don't see any disconnected or broken wires. What could be the issue? Do the heater controls need to be connected for everything to work?

Thanks,

Will

One might suspect the conector. Do you have a new printed circuit board?

Can you put the old circuit board back in? Those floppy circuit boards sometimes changed from year to year, not the mention that there's one for full gauges and a different one for warning lights. The circuit board and its original vehicle's wiring harness are a matched set,
