Remove front plate holder

I don’t need the front license plate holder on my 2020 XLT Sport and would like to remove it. It appears to just snap into 4 slots, but I don’t want to mark the grill up taking it off. Anybody know how to get it off without a bunch of prying that would mark up the grill? The screws strictly hold the plate. Thanks, Cliff

Just grab it from both sides and pull it off. I think I pulled on one side at a time to get mine off. Although I just noticed you have the 5.0. Different grill than mine. You may have to go behind and spread the clips.

Disregard my bogus information. Yours has a different mounting system than my EB.

Get underneath and look on the backside of the bumper. The plate bracket has 4 tangs that you have to press to release it from the fascia panel. Don't pry it, you could break the fascia. You'll see how it attaches once you get under the truck and see.
This is how I took mine off on my '16 5.0 Sport.

Perfect! Just slide under the air dam on a piece of cardboard, and it’s right there. Piece of cake. Thank you.
