I'll ignore the fact it seems stupid that with the black appearance package on an XLT it still has the chrome trim around the badge, but what is the best way to paint it? Painting the plastic chrome has always been tricky for me and usually only have 1 shot unless you buy a replacement. I know the piece just pops off and I plan on using a quality high gloss rattle can attempt. Scuff, clean, dry, clean, paint?

You can purchase the parts - not sure if the price makes it worth it?
What options did you want on the XLT that you couldn't get on the XL? The reason I asked is that the XL is blacked out with chrome only on the side badges.
bet the truck arrives with all blacked out badges, the website generated photos may be incorrect. black package has body colored bumpers, that pic appears to be chrome looking
but again who knows anymore
even build and price is acting up

It's a family truck so wanted the nicer interior/exterior, just don't like chrome. Power seats. Keyless entry, Bigger screen, 20" wheels etc. By the time I added everything to XL I was at XLT
I originally ordered the tremor package but they cancelled those on XLT so had to modify my order and really don't like chrome. Also don't like the dull plastic so color matched bumpers, 20" black wheels, blacked out grill and everything really matched what I like.

that would be cool, I have yet to see a black package on an XLT on the street so I'm not sure what they look like, everything is on a lariat

yeah, if you look at those renderings above, it shows a painted rear bumper and chrome front bumper. I have a truck in order and during build/price and every site after, there’s a goofy error on the ***** on interior where the image is just not coded properly/shifted way out of whack. May or may not be the cae with this truck, but clearly the bumpers aren’t right.

the written description on detail of package says painted bumpers. Maybe someone has seen one in person and can comment

The written description as well as the computer rendering shows both front and rear painted bumpers when I look. The written description also says the side badges are black only on the Lariat. So it might be true that they will be chrome on the XLT.
