I have a 97 F350 and want to put some sort of side steps/running boards to help ease the work of getting in and out of the truck. I have only found the Bully step, nerf bars or the huge diamond plate running boards and I am not a fan of any of them. I have heard of some people modifying other running boards to fit these OBS trucks and was wondering if anyone had any pics or tutorials on what they have done. I found a couple that I like and am hoping to get some inspiration from my fellow OBS owners.

Thanks in advance!
Some only come for a Regular cab. You might mention what you have and want just in case.
Good point! I have a crew cab with a flat bed. I don't want the running boards to go past the rear of the cab. The distance from the front edge of the front door to the rear edge of the rear door is 77".
you may have to look to old truck accessories maybe used. Running boards, like actual boards are far less popular these days, kinda like how visors have been a little less than say the 90s, but seemingly coming into style I think again. Running boards were factory i think if you had sported trucks, but a cab and chasssi or just crew without the box would be a slight dificult one i think, because unless you get a more generic diamond plate kind, its prob not gonna be the right length unless you found longer and chopped it at the end to length. I know the ones crew cabs often have usualy have a small extension by the fender in back, but i dont know if you can find those sets new or if they were a product of a bygone era.
Since you have crew cab flatbed, I wont try and tell you why it wouldnt be the best idea compared to a step, but if you had a regular truck running boards become your functional clearance lol.
I think they look nice on trucks, but im not a lot of people sadly.
