Unhappy power steering on 66 ford f 100 4x4

has any body installed a power steering gear that mounts on the outside of the frame in front of the axle with the pitman arm going to the rear of the vehicle?

if so what box?

power steering on 66 ford f100 4x4

I have a 64 f100 4x4 with my home made steering setup, as you suggest the box mounts on the outside of frame, i used a 78 fullsize bronco box and steering colom from same truck, had to make own drag link but other than that it works great.

I have heard that the steering box from the 78-79 4x4's were a bolt-in swap for 65-77 trucks. What I am not sure of is whether it was the F150 or F250 box. Hopefully one of 4x4 experts can shed some light on this.

I have a complete P/S setup from a 78-79 Bronco along with pump bracket, hoses, etc for a FE (352) engine. Let me know if you can use it!
