The last time I looked into this most agreed that the heim joint probably wasn't the best idea for most. Now it seems everyone is ordering them with the heim joint.
What are the pro's and cons to the heim joint over the HD ball joint version?
Upgraded mine last night to all Mevotech draglink and outer tie rod. All I can say is what a difference. Should have done it the day I bought the truck.

I'm strongly considering this one also since I have a Carli high mount stabilizer so I won't have to figure out a clamp and stuff to mount it to a PMF...

Called PMF yesterday and they say that this clamp (1.5" version) is compatible with the Carli stabilizer. Also confirmed with someone that actually installed it with a PMF drag link and Carli stabilizer.
Now to decide if I want a Heim joint or the "Direct Replacement" version...
Did you use a pickle fork to seperate the joints or just bang them out with a hammer/small sledge?

Truck has had bump steer since new (level since new). I have tried a dual stabilizer, Fox single, etc. The tires amplified it obviously.
Dealer found worn draglink at 33K. They replaced under warranty.
At that time, I installed SPC caster shims (now at 3.2, 3.9).
At 34K, the new joints already had movement when turning the wheel.
So- I did what I should have done along time ago.
Bought the PMF draglink with the heim joint end and their tie rod end.
IMMEDIATE improvement. My steering wheel hardly moves. Steering is solid!
The difference in weight and size of the PMF vs. stock is eye opening.
In MY case, on my truck, it was night and day.
If you are in a predicament with a worn draglink- give them a look.
Took me 20 minutes to change them out and didn't pull a wheel.
