Towing without a Tow Pkg
I've been looking at the stickers on my door post, and at Ford's Towing Guide. I can see and understand the weights & specs on the door post. But in the guide, I don't see any distinction between tow capacities for a specific vehicle with or without a tow package. Am I missing something? BTW, this is a 2013 E350 12 pass wagon, does NOT have a factory Tow Package. Thanks.

I looked at the 2013 Ford Towing Guide. Based on what I saw there, I would conclude that there wasn't a tow package. Then again, the towing guide doesn't think there such a thing as a 12 passenger van. Only 11 and 15 passenger.
It looks like the only distinctions are the axle ratio, engine, model and extended or not.

My '10 e350 12 passenger van has a 7k lb towing capacity but didn't have a trailer hitch (tow package) so bought a class IV hitch and a 7 pin receiver from etrailer , installed both. I tow either my boat or travel trailer, each weighs about 7k lbs with no problem.
