Love my 2001 ExST With V6+5SpeedAuto (same DriveTrain+Frame as 2001 RangerExtendedCab), 2ndOwner since 2002, 240k+ Miles, no regrets.
If traveling back in time, I'd buy a 2003 RangerExtendedCab\ExST with V6+5SpeedManual, last year with PreHEC Cluster+PCM Electronics.
If you want a V8~5.0L & something like a RangerShortBed, I'd look for a 2009~2010 ExST.
