Got a 100 amp alt from junkyard to replace 80 amp. But the new one ahs a wire to battery, ground, and a harness with a green and a white wire to it. Says on alt FLD and below is STA. Haynes manual for my truck says 5 of 6 wires go to starter soleniod, and one goes to instr. cluster. Anyone know how to wire this new one up, or should I find one wiht the same wiring?

 

The diagram below seems to work for most Ford alt's. Will it work for yours? I don't know.

 

No, that's no it. But thanx for the help. I decided to get a 160 #g amp off of ebay tonite. it's more expensive than finding ut how to wire the one i got, but I think it'll be easier, and better in the long run. thanx again
