CV Joint Squeaking
2003 F150 Supercrew Lariat 5.6: Had rumbling sound when driving down the road and truck slightly wandering and if I turned wheel to the left, rumbling sound went away. I thought was bad wheel bearing so I jacked up truck and discovered a worn out inner tie rod on driver side. I changed it wandering went away but rumbling ws still there so I jacked up other side to check wheel bearing on passenger side and it all felt good but when turning the tire by hand, squeaking coming from CV joint closest to front differential. I held a long screwdriver to my ear while turning the tire and noise is definitely coming from CV joint closest to where CV bolts to the differential. Boots not torn or ripped. I don’t have no clunking sounds when driving in 4 wheel drive and turning hard over either way. Is the squeaking a sign that I need to replace the CV joint? The boot looks wet now because I sprayed some lubricant on the boot and everything trying to get it to stop squeaking. Thank you

Thank you for the reply. It looks wet and greasy under there because I sprayed some lubricant but before I did that it was all dry and no sign of any water or leaking grease but I may try and squirt some grease in there with the grease needle.
