I just had to do it! Lol I'm hearing that the 23' SuperDuty's interior's will be similar to the 22' F150's. Anyone else hear anything on the interior refresh?
Nothing substantial has been written, so we can only assume.
Will the current supply challenges affect the 23’ possibly holding off any updates? Maybe. I give status quo a 50-50 chance. It depends on how the competition reacts to the shortages. If there are no changes from Ram or GM, I think the 23’ may not update much at all. If either one updates, Ford will follow.
If shortages do not affect the plans, I would expect the same sheet metal, the new F-150 interior, new grille choices, colors, tail lights and wheels are an easy assumption, and also 500/1,100 of torque or more for the diesels. Gas is gas, with the basic cost saving base engine returning, and the 7.3L remaining the same, so I doubt that moves the needle at all.
Improved tech for everything. Hopefully a full sensing system for the front end which could be shut off with the snow plow package, better images for the cameras, and maybe rear seat entertainment. Remember, high trim trucks are now becoming mainstream luxury vehicles, and are no longer just trucks. The Limited rivals the Cadillac Escalade in price, followed closely by the Platinum and King Ranch.
Personally, Since I store for the miserable winter around here, I was considering trading in my 20’ this fall for a 22’,. It could probably be done for little to no cash, but since the only 22’ update is the screen, I’m going to wait and see what the 23’ brings.
All I care about is being able to fit the console fridge and brush guard on it incase my 22 order gets rolled to a 23.
Does your console fridge say it fits in a 2021 F-150 console? If your brush gaurd mounts to the bumper then there might be some fitment issues if Ford changes the 23 SD bumper. If it mounts to the frame it might work. Worst case you sell that stuff and buy what fits.
