Hey I’m new to the site but have been using it for years now I have a problem with my 2006 F-350 6.0 with 227k miles. It will lose power and sound like it is misfiring sometimes. Completely unpredictable when it happens but it throws a contribution code for a random cylinder every time. I thought it was bad injectors replaced the 3 I kept seeing and low and behold didn’t fix the problem. So I pulled the HFCM out and replaced the fuel pump and filter both with motorcraft parts and it is still doing it. I’m at a loss right now and would really appreciate any help. Thanks in advance!
Check on your pickup foot in your tank. There's tests you can do to see if your getting fuel to pump. Could have a disintegrated foot in your tank, where your lines are picking up little pieces and clogging up.
Ok I’ll see if I can drop the tank what are those tests though?
You can try running the truck out of a fresh can of diesel with a long hose for example. There are a few examples on here somewhere. I will look in a bit.
FICM sits around 49.5 volts constantly. And I am thinking about installing the fuel pressure gauge as well my scanner doesn’t have fuel pressure built in to it.
