We were making our final cross country trip with the ‘16 F-250 towing car hauler with living quarters. Heading home to pick up the new ‘22 F-350. Of course going through Wyoming had a blow out on trailer. Not much room on side of I-80, State Trooper stayed with us until we were ready to go, 2 hours.
Had to unload car. Note to self…, relocate jack and spare. Battery dead on car so had to use winch to load. Anyway, all is good.
My ‘22 has been at dealer since August 23rd, they took it to LineX to get liner and hard tonneau for me. I called salesman from road to see if the deal we made on my trade was still good. He asked what mileage would be when we got home and said he would check with manager. Texted me back they would have to look it over but did not think too much had changed. I had put 6k miles on it from time I ordered new truck.
Well I am back home and went by dealer this morning and they tried to take 2k off trade value. Finally settled at $500 less for added mileage. I will drop the $500 Farm Bureau and PCO from Ford on them Tuesday when I go to finalize deal and pick it up.
I am getting about 8k more than I paid for the truck 3 years and 40k miles ago. Just could not pass on the opportunity to upgrade.
Boy, that new truck is sharp. Screen is awesome and I am thrilled with the Dark Marsala interior. It absolutely does not look anything like the pictures I have seen from Ford, pictures from salesman or any other pictures on here and Facebook. It is a more maroon to brown, NO orange hue at all.
Can’t wait til Tuesday, feel like a kid on Dec. 22 waiting for Christmas morning.
Here are some pictures of blowout and new truck. 10 ply, think I caught a piece of retread on road. We were driving on shoulder of road because of construction for several miles. DAMN retreads! Had to unload to get to floor jack and spare. New location for jack and spare will be done. Thank you Wyoming State Trooper!!! F-350 Platinum, 6.7, 3.55 e-locker, 12,400#, 4K payload. How did you get that dark marsala was any kind of orange?
Looking at most of the pictures, it has an orange tinge. I tried to take a picture today and just could not get the picture to turn out they same way it looked in person.
