New to the forum, and just getting started on some projects on a new-to-me 1985 F-150 351w
When I took the Cowl off to fix the wiper motor, the insulation was completely destroyed/worn out. I already bought the "cowl to hood" seal, but I'm talking about the stuff that is glued to the underside of the cowl - or was.
In the picture the red line is where I'm talking about. Can I use something like high density foam tape?
I used some 1" square foam that you would use to seal a window air conditioner. Probably bought it at Lowes. The stuff I used was not very dense. In some places the seal has to be compressed pretty good.

Think I used the same thing.
While you are at the hardware store picking up this foam pick up a garage door bottom seal for the cowl to hood seal.
Do a search for this as it is a good fix.
