Receiver Height

Hello,
I am trying to preemptively order a dropper hitch.

Could someone post a measurement of their receiver height to the top of the inside of the receiver.

My model will be an F250 Lariat with Fx4 package. 7.3 gas

thanks in advance!

I was literally just outside trying to get measurements of my campers hitch to try and figure out which exact WDH size I need... trying to guess on unlevel ground is likely a recipe for disaster though...

So, not trying to hijack your thread, but can someone also list the height on a 250 6.7 with HCTT and camper package (3” receiver)?

you can measure from the center bottom of the wheel perpendicular to the frame. Then trace the frame to the tongue and add up all the increments. This will give you almost an exact tongue height.

My F250 22’ CCLB 7.3: top of the receiver is 22”. I have 20” lariat wheels on my truck. I got a 6” drop weigh safe. The bottom of the drop is 13” off the ground.

B & W Stow & Go are pretty versatile and made in the USA. I'd go with 7" on the drop, you can always raise it for taller trailers, but you can't lower a 5" for lower trailers.

I have a 6” drop and it’s more than enough for every trailer I’ve come across. Definitely don’t need any more than that unless you want to drag it on approaches.

Details of truck in signature. Note, 2-1/2" - 2" reducer is installed in receiver.

This is where I'm leaning. I took some Measurements and the boat trailer sits at 18". I'd need at least 6" drop to get it level with the new truck so 7" BW sounds like a good option.

Actually the 8" weigh safe is $50 cheaper than the 7" BW. I have to decide if I want a scale or to tuck my *****.

Edit: the weigh safe is stowable too.

I'm just going to wait for truck before I order my drop hitch.

one post shows 22"
another post shows 24 3/8"

Ill probably go with B&W Tow&Stow 7" drop....but not keep it in the receiver (stow under rear seat). Dont want something hanging that far down on my truck.
