Well, only 161 miles so far, but the adaptive learning seems to be settling down, at least for just puttering around, working much smoother.
It still doesn't know what to do when you tromp down hard on it, it jumps all around, hard acceleration then falls back, then picks up again before finally going on.
Going on an extended trip in a couple of days, see how that affects it.
Will also be picking up a small 5th wheel for the truck's first towing run.
Looking forward to trying that out.
I hate the 10sp I have in my F150. Once the 4th gear issues start...they don't stop. Even with the cache clearing. There's a reason why I opted for the 6sp. Good luck with it, and it'll figure out what to do, but the slams into 4th get pretty bad. Use Forscan to clear the cache once in awhile if it gets too bad, and it'll help for a few miles. Then start the process again.
I'm sure you'll get more useful answers than this one. But if not, get comfortable with Forscan. Good luck on your trip.
I had an Ecoboost with 10sp prior to my 6.7 6 speed. I hated it! So predictable with the lunges and other odd noises! I'm sure the newer models are better but I'll hold off for a long while to get the bugs out
