Just September BS Thread
Late start. August-N-Ida have departed the building. Thanks for the small favors. Folk up in de' Nawth are sadly dealing with "record breaking rainfall amounts as high as 3-1/2 inches an hour."
And they really haven't ever see such. Hope they can ready themselves for the new normal.
Terri & I are going south to see if Fred F'd up our rental. My wife is ready to commit homicide if she/we don't decompress.
Brought our cat/house-sitter over & let him re-familiarize his self with our brood & get set up for his "va-cay".
Y'all hold it down now.

X has made off the Yucatan, will be called "Mindy" if it forms.
Me, long story short, I over did the packing-loading-all the crap I did last week, etc. & woke up Sat, with worst back spasms I've had in years.
Mobex, flexoril & some norco have me at least mobile when not sacked out.
Won't be any dragging the beach cart out for a day long expedition at the beach, much less just walking in the sand.
Oh well, cold drink & the water is where you can see & smell it.
Terri is fine with it, she's "we ain't in Mississippi."

Wow, what a night. TS Mindy blew in 9-ish and out 1-ish.
They say the landfall was about 6-7 miles west on other end of our barrier island & technically on another.
Max sustained winds were 45, but it damn sure felt stronger. I don't ever want to stay in anything other than concrete for a 100 if I was forced to.
Folk who willingly stay for cat anything are nuts.
Got a couple more days, hopefully today will clear up.

I'm glad y'all made it trough that "too close for comfort" scrape with a tropical storm in good order.
I agree.... the folks that stay for a full fledged hurricane are SEVERAL brick short of a load.

Home again, home again, jigity-jog.
For good measure, we got a water-spout that blew up about 2 miles down island & a 100 yards off beach morning we left.
Relative clear day, just a cluster of cloud that decided to get pissed.
Now we have Nelson (?) following Mindy for a bit. Wouldn't be the first (or second, or third) that follows us home.
Have a good week all, I'm glad I can walk upright.
