1997 Explorer power out!! I need help!!
Okay, I am at wits end on this one -
Here is a list of electrical items that stopped working for no apparent reason on my 1997 Ford Explorer (5.0 engine, loaded)
Power Windows
Front wipers
Front windshield washer
Anti theft system
Dome light
Glove box light
Rear wiper (but rear washer works)
Visor Light
Map Light
I have:
Checked every fuse I could find
Swapped relays around
Swapped what I believe to be pluggable fuseable links
Check the two main diodes
Swapped links and relays under dash
Question:
With the combination of things I stated that are out - does this strike a chord with anyone as to what this could be?? I am very stumped after quite a bit of checking. Is there some component inline somewhere that might account for this? Everything else seems to work. HELP!!
The only clue I can give is that the left side exhaust manifold was just replaced. It was about two weeks after that - that the power on these items went out! Related? Not sure - but I need to find the cause!!
