All that is, is a feel good place to plug the brake lines into. Simple hardware store parts and direct feed will do the same thing for a fraction of the price. Even with drum drum setup is is still important to control the rear bias. That is why the blocks with a proportioning valve is important.

That's why you replace the fronts at twice the rate of the rears. This whole debacle is unfortunate and someone near should have offered help. I plumbed my whole system including a front swap to a 79 F250 setup in 6hrs and not a single leak. Haven't even looked at it in 4yrs. Help thy neighbor.

You replace the fronts at twice the rate as rears because when you stop the weight shifts toward the front of the vehicle. It’s still the same on disc/drum vehicles.
Ford didn’t put a proportioning valve on drum brake trucks. First prop valve came on F100s in 73 on disc/drum vehicles.
A prop valve isn’t necessary on drum/drum vehicles.

One stays with drums out of necessity as there are no donors in the yards around here since 2006. One is lucky to see a vehicle in Pick n Pull that is older than 1985 since that time. So with the front suspension done one sticks with it now.

I hear ya, brother. We are down to one pick n pull yard here locally. I was lucky to get the swap parts for my ‘72 when I did.

I would have thought the incessant wildfires would have you guys lining up at the Uhaul rental office. I lived in California from 1999 to 2007 - Chico up north; I was there for a master’s degree. Loved it - was beautiful and fun, but couldn’t afford to buy a house there so left and went back to the Appalachians.
