I’m interested in giving my 05’ Limited the two-toned EB look. The Limited cladding appears different than that of the EB variant, involving a chrome strip.
My understanding is- the EB cladding is no longer available from Ford.
1. Is that accurate?
2. Is the best approach swapping the cladding in it’s entirety or just the pieces that are different and painting all of it Arizona beige?
This has been nagging me so I was searching for closeup pictures. Luckily some ebay sellers provided closeups. Limited followed by EB. It looks to me like Limited is the EB piece, with the chrome glued on. Very tempted to try to pull a chrome strip off and confirm.

Very, very interesting discovery.
That only makes sense from a cost savings perspective, and I’ll bet you’re right.
If you have a look, would you let us know? Otherwise, I’ll take a look once the shop finishes with our axle swap…
Curious is this a later model thing? My 01 limited has no chrome on the cladding
Could be, my 05 limited has the chrome on the cladding like pictured above. I'm planning on doing spray on bedliner from the body line down on the side. So it'll either get sprayed over or the cladding completely removed anyway.

Unless the PSD badge was/is/has been changed 7.3L had Black stripes and 6.0L had Red Stripes.
I thought the EX never got factory engine badges, any year or any engine. Always assumed that any engine badge on an EX was owner installed.
And to add to the cladding discussion, XLT door cladding is the exact same as the Limited and EB, just in grey without the chrome.

You're correct. No PSD badge, so it could be an '02. Mea culpa.
