Welcome. Nice collection! Post some pictures! I have 2 '62 longbed Uni's here in So. Oregon.... 1. BBW that is my current project. I have the body off the frame and I am about 6 mo into it... Hopefully on the road next summer. 2. Basic Custom Cab which is my parts truck. Both are 292's, Dana 44 in my project and a 9" in the parts truck.
Here is a before disassembly and a photoshopped version of next Summer's look....

If you plan on the gray and white color scheme check out Hyundai Gray and Ford Performance White. Those are the colors that I chose for my '62 UNI BBW SWB V8/COM truck.
I was going to paint it medium light green and Performance white but once I saw the primer on my truck I just had to go with the gray.
Don't worry about another truck in the same dress, I am from Michigan. I will send you a PM with my number and if you would like I can send you some pic's.

I'm a fan of uni's even though I'm not an owner. My Dad had one back in the 70's when I was a kid, a 63 F100 shorty, that I learned to drive in. I loved that truck with it's 223-6 and 4 speed trans. Sadly Dad was rear ended in it back in '79 and that's all there was to that. Somewhere I have an old pic of it I'd like to find and scan. Please share more stories and pics of your trucks, Pete. Welcome to the forum!

Hi 7BercMerc,
This site is very difficult for me to use. I'm still a 20th century guy. Took 3 days to get this far. When I figure out how I'll post some photos. In the meantime, I do have a PDF. Don't know if that will work but here goes...That didn't work either. If you can email me at originalcast@comcast.net I'll send it to you

I have a 1961 Ford Unibody with a 351M in it and I need some headers for it what's the ideal headers for it? Any help will be appreciated. The truck has been sitting in a pasture for 20 years and the engine is not froze-up. When I turn the fan blade everything spins with it like it should. Rebuilding the motor and looking for a set of headers.

Nice truck! Same color my '62 was originally, Dark Green & Corinthian White. Sorry, I have no clue on the 351 headers. Mine still has its stock Y block. Here is a thread on here about 351 headers in a Slick.... https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...a-66-f100.html

Thank you for the link. Truck has been sitting for over twenty years and the engine is not froze-up so I'm working on rebuilding the motor. I figure any engine that can sit that long without freezing up is worth rebuilding. I'm going to go back to the original colors on this one which are Holly Green and Corinthian White.

Nice, Yes, Holly Green and Dark green are the same... Some books list it one way some the other. Is the paint code on your Warrantee tag "LM"? Mine was painted a metallic green at some point and then the black-ish primer was how I got it.... yours has a nice salvageable patina in the mean time.
Mine, last Summer, off to the sand blaster....
A nice reference... Not mine.
