Getting ready to wrap up the interior of my 66 and I’ve come to a stopping point because I can not locate the clips needed for the chrome trim on the inside of the doors, it’s the trim that goes around the door panels where the window crank and door handle sit. If anyone knows where to locate these items it would be greatly appreciated if you could pass that along.
Don't forget these things. They go under the plastic to prevent the arm rest from crushing it.
The original spacers are 1/8 inch thick and 1 1/8 wide by 2 1/2 tall. That notch is 1/2 X 3/8 and is 5/8 down from the top. The factory used tape to keep them in place just like in this picture. They also had a little sealant on each clip. Some of the after market door trim panels are thicker than the originals and require a thicker spacer.
I have 3 complete sets of trim that were polished and anodized. I have new clips 26 .. 13 per door plus Butyl tape.
I put them up for sale and didn't get one nibble. some people wanted just the clips and said I was asking to much, same price as Melvins. So I pulled the sale and have been sitting on them ever since.
I ordered from Melvin's a while back. I ordered a few more than required and glad I did. A few of them were collapsed and wouldn't hold. Rest worked fine.
