Am I wrong...
or just confused?
Currently we have a '17 F350 Lariat CCSB 6.7 PS with 11,500 GVWR. This weekend went to the "Build & Price" at Ford website to price out a '22 F350 Lariat CCSB w/ 7.3L.
Apparently if we want the 11,400 GVWR with 6 3/4' box we need to upgrade to the 6.7L or move up to an 8 ft bed for the 7.3L?!?
Yet... I can find used '21 F350's CCSB SRW w/ 160" WB & 7.3L with 11,300 GVWR.
Any insight would be appreciated.

Is this "order guide" you speak of the brochure? I cannot find a 2022 version. This is the 2021 but makes no distinction between the different engine options when viewing payload:

I believe this option you are looking at DECREASES the GVWR to 11,400 not increases it. It is a paper derate I believe. CCLB SRW starts at around 12,400 and can be derated to 11,400. CCSB starts at 11,300 with AT tires I think.

The short bed 7.3l F-350 is 11300 GVWR, the long bed is 11900. So if you choose the 11400, which is a deraate option, it wants to switch you to a configuration that would have a higher GVWR to begin with.
When building any configuration do not choose one of the optional GVWR's (unless you want to derate) and everything will be fine. It will default to the standard GVWR for that build.

Sorry, I guess I should have been more clear. I was referring to a CCLB since a CC is what the OP was building. Yes, there are various other GVWR's for different cab configurations such as your super cab.

Right, and if it was diesel is would be 12400# GVWR. Either way, both trucks will net out at about 4000# CCC depending on options.
