the red one and this black one are both 93s, the black one has the cut out bumper, the red one will get the best of both trucks, wheels, bed and nerf bar
both 7.3 IDIs, ZF 5 speeds , the Red one has cold air, rebuilt front end more compression, the black one has a few wiring issues due to an electrical fire,(set in a field a few years, mice)
I've gave serious thought in to switching to steel flat bed on my eighth gens just because panels are hard to source and all the scrap yard beds are work truck beds beat up with the same problem.
I found good steel flat beds factory made for around $2,500 used-good, and I think they were 4k new, I forget.. The only market difference between this gen and eighth gen is this gen sales for slightly more..
You can usually just slide them off the back of a donor truck on to your chassis. Everyone I've seen was just u-bolts and shims with customized filler tubes.
