Does anyone know where I could find a dual exhaust kit for a 4x4 manual transmission for a 72 Ford F100. Everywhere I look I can only find exhaust systems for auto's and 2wd trucks.
-Thanks
All you can do is look for bump (73-79) systems, as your truck is 50 years old, accessories will be a challenge. You can go to an exhaust shop and have a dual system built.
Christmas is correct. You need to start at the headers/manifolds and work your way back. Depending on the engine and performance aspect, quotes from a muffler shop could go from pricey to worse. I got my exhaust quoted from the shorty headers back to the turn outs behind the rear tires on each side, Gibson MWA mufflers, 2.5" stainless with H Pipe...looking at $1200.00. Still saving up for that one.
$1200.00?!?!?!?
One of the shops here in town quoted me $800.00, with my own mufflers, and I told him he was f-ing crazy.
My last exhaust was a couple of years ago and they charged me $275.00, I supplied the mufflers, and they did a nice job.
Do some looking around.

Steel prices are inflated right now so quotes are high. Here in Chas, SC $800 was a good price before the pandemic.
just take it to a muffler shop they will fab it up and wont cost too much either i havent done my bump yet but i did my idi and grand marquis. the idi was a 4" straight which cost $400 and i did duals on the gm which cost $375 with a x pipe
Buy a decent welder and get a builder exhaust tube kit from Summit Racing or Speedway Motors. You won't believe how much money you save by fabbing your own.... and in the end, ya get to keep the welder. It'll open up a whole new world of fabrication possibilities.

Yep. That's how I did the 2.5" duals on my F100 a few years ago.
And I just finished building a 3" single system for my bronco. Got it all done for under $180. (I got the Muffler for free)
Oreilly auto parts carry's Nickson exhaust parts for cheap prices.

I was guessing you had a 4wd, but you really never said as much, nor do you say 6, 8, or which engine. LMC catalog once had some exhaust systems for some trucks, even some 4wds for some years. You might consider just plain alumanized steel, get some local shop to bend one up.
I looked for kits for my 1970 F250 2wd and (Summit, Speedway) and if I recall was close to $300 without mufflers. Need it from exhaust manifold back, and was planning to dump out behind rear wheels also. Quote for local shop in Cedar Rapids IA was $900-$1000. I would hate to spend around $400 on a kit/mufflers and screw it up. Like Eric, I'm going to save up and have it done right.
