Front end questionable noise
Background: 2008 350, recently replaced front hubs, pads and brake calipers after experiencing vibration at 47 mph+, squeezing when braking and feeling sticking braking, grinding when turning all predominantly from the front passenger side. I have unfortunately had plenty of work to do with the truck since I purchased last summer including entire new rear brake system, new water pump, new transfer case (due to a bad front drive shaft that has not been replaced, don't need 4wd right now and can't afford to have the work done). When the transfer case was done about 4 thousand miles ago I was told the hubs were on the way out and the U-joints weren't in great shape.
Just finished the front end work and while everything is much smoother (don't feel the grinding when turning, shaking, etc.) I still hear a "swoosh" sound when the wheel makes a rotation. It seems to be at the same place each time as it is more frequent when I speed up. It doesn't seem to begin until about 29-30 mph.
I know I need new U-joints and will get that done as it is out my my scope of ability, but would like to be able to make it where work can be done a bit cheaper (Not Jackson Wyoming), and that wouldn't be causing this sound would it?
The easiest fix I have found seems to be a warped rotor that might be rubbing, however it didn't seem to be, but that's not to say I just didn't notice. When else should possibly be looking at?
Thank you for any help.
