I'm converting an 09 e350 bus into a camper. Just got my new solar system up and running, wondering if anyone knows how to bypass the cabin fuse panel so that I can get rid of all the extra wiring now that I have alternative power?
Exactly what "extra wiring" are you looking to eliminate?
Yep, I realize now that my original post was vague, haha. I basically want to remove everything behind the driver. Cabin lights (done) door sensors (done) extra exterior lights (done) handicap lift (done). Basically all that is left is the cabin fuse panel, with it's main lines to the secondary battery (under the passenger side of the chassis). Essentially I want to strip it down to just the box.
As far as I'm aware, the engine requires the secondary battery to stay in parallel with the primary battery in the engine bay, but I want to eliminate everything beyond that.
I also have been told that there's an engine control fuse or relay in the panel that stops the engine from turning if it's disengaged. I just don't know how -or where- to bypass that particular circuit so that I can remove the panel.
