slipping downhill in reverse
Hi, gang -
Yesterday, I experienced something for the first time. While trying to parallel park on a moderate slope (I'd guess 8-10%) the rig began to roll forward despite being in reverse (AT). I was amazed at how much gas I had to give it to overcome the slippage...I was afraid I'd go shooting into the car behind me.
Automatic transmissions aren't exactly my forte...does this suggest a problem with the torque converter? Or perhaps I need to change the AT fluid? Any ideas would be really appreciated. Thanks...
