Windshield washer spray
1973 F100 4x4 Standard Cab 4 barrel Edelbrock FE390, C6 transmission.
Repaired windshield washer fluid pump/system today. Having never seen it in operation, I’m checking whether it’s normal for the washer fluid to come out as a direct stream, rather than a spray or spread. Must be normal because both sides do exactly the same thing, but was expecting a spray or spread. Any one familiar with the original, unmodified version? Thanks!

It's a stream. The wipers move it across the windshield to do the cleaning. One of these days I'm going to pull a couple of sprayers at the JY and mount them on the cowl to get wider coverage across the windshield.
