98 Expedition issue
Helping my father in law with a 98 Expedition. 2WD 5.4L. approx 200k miles.
Under load it doesn't like to pull.. Ethanol fuel had eaten the pump.. Cleaning the tank & lines, and replacing the pump assembly made a significant improvement; but it still has a code 1747. From what I could see online it looks like there are 3 different solenoids for the transmission. Which is the most likely to cause an issue on one of these? Where exactly is it located.
Also, I was thinking part of its problem could be bad cats... it has 4 of them. So I'm trying to get him to let us use some pipe and the bender and replace them.
