Stick Shark

Alright, I've seen the ad on tv for this little bagless "super" vaccuum. They sell it at a local Office Depot for about 80 bucks. Anyone ever use a Stick Shark? I'm thinking of getting one cause the big vaccuum I have now doesn't pick up a thing. The rotary brush just keeps throwing the dirt around and it doesn't do a thing when it comes to dust. It would also be nice to have it for cleaning out the vehicles. I'm looking for opinions before I drop some cash. Thanks.

All bag and/or filter type vacs suck. Or should I say don't suck.

The problem is airflow. It is the movement of air (airflow) that picks up dirt. (Not suction or amps, BTW) Think of a tornado or hurricane with its strong winds. Vacuums just move air through them. Whatever is stuck in the air is filtered out by a paper bag, filter or through cyclonic action. But...

As you put an item in the bag/filter that stays in there it also blocks a hole that allows the air to pass through. Hence, blocking airflow. ALL vacuums, 'cept one, have bags/filters.

If that isn't bad enough...changing the bag or filter can actually be worse. Less holes blocked means more escape routes for the smaller, more harmful dust & dirt particle to escape and get lodged in our mouths and lungs.

Catch-22.Change the bags/filters more and you'll blow more stuff out. Don't change them and they can't pass air so the dirt is left in the house.

Best bet, get rid of the holes and look in to a water trap cleaning system. It wets the dust in water so that it cannot fly around in the room nor will it clog and lose cleaning ability.

Your vacuum is proof that what I am saying is correct. It is not picking up anything because the holes are clogged. The Stick Shark won't do any better. It is designed the same as your present vacuum...with holes.

We use an Oric, and a shark. Both work better than the hoover, sharp and dirt devil we used to have.
