Aftermarket Steering Wheel

My OEM steering wheel is in pretty bad shape so I'm shopping around for an aftermarket replacement. I see that there are lots of "Universal" fit type steering wheel with 5 or 6 bolt adapters. I'd like to get a system and the right adapters that looks good installed without any huge gaps in the steering column. Looking for recommendations from anyone that has a system they like and any pics if you have them.

TIA

Mike

As long as you are OK with Black, Dennis Carpenter makes the OEM style from original tooling. They are currently out of stock but you can get them at a few different places for a slight markup although it can be tough to know if they are resold DC or an junk repro. I know you mentioned you wanted to but I wouldn't go aftermarket. Without the OEM bits, turn signal and turn signal cancel, horn etc are a pain and gimmicky.

If you can wait, I'd keep an eye on this link to go back in stock...or try and find a good one at a junk yard.

Actually starting with 1971 Ford went to a 2 spoke steering wheel. Both are out of stock and will fit. Depends on which one the OP prefers.

I think I want to go aftermarket to get something a little smaller in diameter and maybe leather wrapped. I'm not going to restore the truck so it doesn't have to be an OEM or replica steering wheel but it want it to fit well and work the turn signals and horn like it should.

Foreversharp.com has an excellent collection of steering wheels that will fit your truck and using their adapter it will bolt right up and everything works as it should.
The video is for a dent but their B-03 adapter will work on your truck.
