Wheel and Tire take offs
Thinking about ordering wheels and tires for the new ‘22 that was supposed to be built yesterday. Just wondering what those that have sold their take offs were getting for them. I am guessing mine would have less than 500 miles by the time I am ready to swap them out. They would be the 20” Platinum polished wheels with Michelin A/T tires. Thanks for any info you can provide. Trying to see if it is worth doing right away while everything is new or waiting till I need tires.

check craigslist, ebay and see what others are asking. Priced too high and they will sit. Or you could just change out tires to 295's and you have taller tires> factory 20's are 34.1" or something like that. 295, 305, 315's will get you height
if you have 3500-5000 for new tires and wheels,,,go for it

Looks like most with mounted sets getting about what a set of new tires alone will run. I think that makes them attractive to guys with older trucks in need of new tires. Seems like half of replacement cost is pretty close, which isn't bad to put towards what you really want. I even paid the extra $265 for the AT tires in my order because I figured they would sell that much better than all seasons around here. I am just doing new 35" tires on mine when it shows up, I like the look of the factory wheels. If the dealer wont give me decent money, as mentioned, craigslist or facebook will.

i wanted the OEM Michelins. Mine came with Continentials, which were terrible, but i`ve had the Michelin AT2 on quite a few trucks now and been happy with them. I like stock take off sets because they`re easy, just bolt up and go. I run a set down to about 50%, buy another take off set and sell off the old one. I get nee wheels and tires amd never have to deal with a tire shop.
