This may not be the place for this question, but I'll give it a shot. I'm removing the radiator from a friends car. I'm down the lines that run down to the transmission, but the top line is frozen in the radiator, and it looks like previous attempt to remove it rounded off the fitting. I don't really want to have to replace those lines if I don't have to. Is there any other way to remove them?
Moved to proper forum. There are some other topics here on repairing and replacing tranny lines.
I would cut the line and bulge the end with a double flaring tool. Get a replacement line from the part stores long enuf to reach to where I had cut the other one off. Cut the end off it and use the flaring tool to bulge it also. Then use a short section of rubber fuel line and two clamps to connect them.
