OEM LED vs Halogen video comparison ????

Does anyone know of a video comparison of the factory LED vs factory halogen headlights in the 2017+ Super Duty's?

For $1,100 I can't decide if I want them.

If LEDs were 4 grand more, it’s worth it..

100% worth it. Would pay well more than 1100 for the difference.

I don’t know of any videos with direct comparisons (never looked though) but if I were already settled on a Lariat Ultimate (the most basic truck to order them) I would then go for them. However, being at an XLT Value (and I only added the Value package after I had to cancel the UTT) it’s not worth the extra price. There’s to many thousands of dollars for me to get there… for me it will be cheaper to buy the aftermarket Morimotos… I think they look better too.

What truck are you considering?
Because on a Lariat at least, it's not just $1100, because you have to get the "Ultimate Package" to get LED headlights, and that is a $3495 option itself.
I really wanted the LED's, but just couldn't go for that much $$$.
And, of course, I'm an old fart, back when I first started driving, they didn't even have halogen headlights, so I'm very used to not having super bright lights.
I'm pretty sure just having the 4 low beams will be a big improvement over what I've bee driving.

I saw a video on YouTube at one time that compared the two, and it was a night and day difference between them (no pun intended). I don’t really understand which trim levels and/or package(s) are needed to get the option for LED headlights, but based on what I saw I’d get them without a second thought if you’re able to.

Absolutely worth the $1100. That gets you LED everything on the truck (except vanity lights). You can't get a quality pair of complete LED headlight housings for that cheap. The one down side that I can think of is replacement cost, if out of pocket.

Well, if you're going for the ultimate package anyway, then the extra 1100 is worth it, and I would definitely go for it, you can't add them later for that much.
I would have done it on my truck if money wasn't a concern.

That all depends what TRIM you want. For us XL or XLT owners there is a lot more to it than just the 1100. LOL. However, if I was already set on the Lariat, yes I'd easily pay 1100 for the addition of LED lighting. But for me who was looking at XL's its not wroth it LOL. I'm going to have to settle for aftermarket or find some off a wrecked truck.

Sure, it's depends on the individual situation. The OP in this thread has already chose to get the Lariat w/Ultimate package.

Yup. In that case I'd easily go with LED's. I think they look fantastic on these trucks.

Just be prepared to be flashed often as many think you have your brights on until you flash them back😁

And yes I’ve already ensured they are adjusted properly, actually lowered the height just a little to try to alleviate being flashed to no avail…

That can also be due to the stance of the truck, if the back is squatted down, truck has been levelled or whatever, throws the light beam into the oncoming driver's eyes.
