I had recently installed a Holley Demon carb and it's design wouldn't allow me to use the OEM air cleaner so I had to come up with something else that didn't just pull hot engine air in (that would have been the easy way out)
Before - It's on there but was binding the choke lever (dang it!)
I ran it down to where the OEM air inlet was next to the radiator. The air plenum came in polished aluminum so I did the right thing and ...
...sprayed a little Ford blue on it and stamped it with the (not from '78) 400 2V sticker.

I did modify the air plenum so I could run the hose from the back valve cover into it (similar to how the OEM setup was). I'll post a pick of that detail when I get it finished up (I've just got the hose jammed into a hole I drilled in the plenum, working on a OEM-ish solution for it)
