Special ordered a 21 F250 Lariat Ultimate Tremor late last year that came in at the beginning of December. Today I finally got around to upgrading the rear speakers and found this. Speaker on the right is driver's side rear and speaker on the left is passengers side rear.
Another victim of the unadvertised "Pandemic" model with ? trim level. I think Ford should send us special badging for these. I have found a few WTF things in my Oct 2020 build XLT also, but have not dug too deep in to the truck, can't wait for the treasures I will uncover through ownership. Sorry to see stuff like this on vehicles with such a premium price tag.

I was true Ford until recently. Ford is doing an about face, and throwing crap together just to keep building, and it is not good.
My new 21 is the worst Ford I've ever had. Build quality has declined so much, it's like being in the late 70's again.

I agree, the late 70,s is when I left Fords, looks like I jumped back in about the same cycle.

This has been the same for all the years of the B&O system. Earlier versions actually used a 6x7 on one side. This is an attempt to shift the sound stage by manipulating the speaker driver.

It’s a piece of rubber floor I use under my gym equipment. Was cleaning my guns and put an extra piece up on my work bench soi I didn’t destroy the wood top.

This is nothing new to this year or pandemic. Many manufacturers have done crap like this by putting in available parts that may have even been in higher trims. This happened to my JEEP and others as well.
