Here's the scoop on the Mach-E. It was originally going to be an Escape model. Jim Farley (CEO) decided to wring as much media hype as possible out of the design and to do that he had to call it a Mustang. Since then, they've changed the narrative to say electric Mustangs allow Ford to produce more high performance models like the GT500.
It's true that they're selling well. The Mach-E has outsold the GT500 this year. It has outsold the GT as well. In fact not only has it outsold all the 4 cylinder models including the rental fleets, it's outsold every gas powered Mustang COMBINED. It is for sure a home run for Ford, along with the new Bronco.
I've got a Mach-E GT Performance Edition on order and should get it in Nov. I'll report back with just how fast it is. According to Jim Owens, Mustang Marketing Manager, it's faster to sixty than the GT500, but loses out by a few tenths in the quarter mile.
And yeah, I've got my name on the list at Shelby American in case they make a Shelby out of them.
That one at least resembles a Mustang. 1,400 horsepower on the street? I can only imagine what the insurance will be. not too mention how much the dealer will rise the price just because it is popular...
But I'm not in the marked for an E car or any car as far as that goes.
Me neither. There are plenty of cars that I would like to own. Maybe if I buy an airplane hangar, like Jay Leno, I would have the space to park all of them . Space. That's what I envy about people who do not live in The City. They have space. When you live on property with a barn, you have enough room to park more cars. Maybe even install a lift. People who live in apartments in The City, are gardening out of a 5 gallon bucket. Not that I've been researching how to grow cannabis in a 5 gallon bucket.
Space is why I save a lot of money every month. I'm saving up for a bigger lot (hopefully), with a bigger house (hopefully), with a SHOP (mandatory.) I live on 2 acres but it's pretty steep hillside and half of it is poison oak.
Space is non existent in my 1 bedroom apartment. My kitchen is so small the refrigerator door cannot open fully because it hits the counter with the sinks in it.
". It's a story about a large comet that impacted the earth, and the resulting apocalypse. The comet impacted somewhere mid-Pacific Ocean and caused a "thousands of feet" high tsunami. When the tsunami hit California, it filled the entire San Juaquin Valley with water and made it an inland sea for several months.
