It's pretty tiny... these are pretty close: 187/193 .420"/.450" w/stock 1.6:1 rockers 114-116LSA. That's for an '88 cam...the '93 should be a bit larger maybe 5* perside tops.

Mine falls on its face by 5100rpms.

Lemme know how you like that desktop dyno...I may have to get you to punch in my info too.

your on the money hit man x

Well i punched in your cam numbers for the 88 f150 5.0 in to my desktop dyno. i already had the head flow numbers for E7TE's with stock manifolds and mufflers. i got 186 horsepower at 4000 rpms and peak torque of 298 ft.lb. at 2000 rpms through 3000 rpms. The torque is a little high, but its close to a stock truck 5.0

Cool that should hopefully give you a good baseline where to start then.

by the way the volumetric efficiency blows only 75%. Small tube headers with mufflers added to the set up is good for 45 ft.lbs of torque and 20+ h.p seems a little high, but we can dream!

My headers are 1.5" x 2.5"... runs into a 3" pipe w/ cat and a Magnaflow.

Does it say how a set of 1.7:1 rockers effects/adds power?

i recalculated for the 1.7 rockers and the lift changed to .44625 in.
and .4888 exhaust and all it came up with is 1-2 hp and 1-2 ftlbs. i think the lack of duration makes the rockers ineffective. i think the 1.7 rocker money would be better spent on the Comp cam cca-31-255-5 the specs are 114 l.s. intake 206 .050 duration, .462. exhaust 212 .050 and .474 lift. It is a S.D. happy cam and some small tube headers and get 237HP at 4500 with 320 ft.lb. of torque between 2000 and 3500 RPMs

my desk top dyno 2000 does not let you customize the header specs. just long tube/ short tube with or with out mufflers and lrge step tube headers and of course stock manifolds and mufflers.

That's very cool...I have one more if ya don't mind :

185/129 - GT-40 head flow numbers @ 0.500" with 28" H2O

214/220 cam. .488" 114lsa

That's what I think I may run for awhile before I take the full plunge for a 408 w/ AFR heads.

The headers I have currently for my truck are Hooker long tubes.

i need all the flow points at .200, .300 etc. up to max flow. i have the specs for GT40 X heads they flow 210 in 162 ex. at .500 lift. with your cam spec and long headers and 400CFM efi you get 296 HP at 5500 rpm and 333 ft,lbs. at 4000 rpms. i notice you loose alot of low end hp and a little torque its starting to look like a mustang stye power curve. i put the GT-40P heads on you engine combo and the torque peaks at 331@4000 and stays over 300 ft. lbs. from 2000-5000 rpms. peak hp is at 5000 rpms and you gain a little low end hp the cams might be a little long on duration for the low end hp. you can tweak all kinds of cam specs to gain hp and torque wear you want it , but you always give something up.

surprising the GT40P heads are alot better flow numbers than the GT-40 cobra heads.

Keep in mind the GT-40's were stock on the Cobra...their just the plain GT-40's.
