5.0L Temperature
I just bought a 1993 5.0 flare side and noticed the temperature runs quite a bit higher than the last 5.0 I had. It runs on the upper side of the "M" and sometimes on the lower edge of the "A".
Tomorrow will be my first day in stop and go traffic on I-270 and will see if it goes even higher. Today was in the low 90's.
I'm curious to know where other trucks run on temp.

5.0L Temperature
Its sometimes hard to go by stock temp gauges . Ensure the entire cooling system is OK , including the fan clutch . Lots of things can make an engine run hot . Look at all the various components & coolant quality .

5.0L Temperature
My 5.0 runs between the first line and the N but never gets to the N. I replaced the thermostadt, but it didn't change. I had the temp checked and the thermostadt is opening when it should. So I could have a bad sender or gauge. The truck runs fine so i don't mind, and I added a second gauge for my piece of mind.
