What is this part?

Can anyone give me some idea what this parts is? I have no clue

Can't be sure until you tell us what kind of engine you have i.e. model year and engine.

That is the heater core valve, follow the hoses they go to the core on one side and the other side splits. one to the water pump the other to the intake manifold.

the vacuum line is controlled by the climate control **** that adjusts temperature.
