Engine dies while idling or running, ignition switch clicks repeatedly
Need help fast. I replaced the ill-designed PVC valve hose to the throttle body on a 99 F350 V10 because the older hose had collapsed and had a hole in it. It was running badly, shutting off and clicking, sometimes while cruising down highway it would start back up on its on or I would have to turn the key off and restart it in motion. This also happens when I am coasting to a stop, or sitting at an idle.
I first put on a straight hose to come out and loop back to the PVC valve over the engine block, instead of the factory hose that comes out three inches and doubles back behind the throttle assembly. Of course this hose collasped from the vacuum. So I get the original Ford part and installed it and I'm still having the same problem.
BTW, last week blew a plug and had to helicoil the head for a new plug and put in a whole new set of plugs too.
Oh yeah, 99 F350 CC 4x4 with 189,000 miles!
I appreciate your help.
