Torque Pro App and custom PIDS
I just got set up with the Torque Pro app. I paid the $4.95 for the full version. I also purchased a bluetooth ELM 327 / OBDII device - obdlink mx+.
I set up the items on one of my old android phones. I have mated the items together and all seems good. I have run the app once on the truck so far to see about any fault codes and its clean..
I have been into the manage extra PIDS and sensors. selecting the predefined FORD and PSD option.
I'm of course in the learning curve for all this but I am curious to see if anyone knows what all PIDS can be set up for my 2001 V10? I've read that diesel rigs come with more options.?
I know she's 20 years old and technically an obd1 set up. I'm looking for help on what all can be monitored.? I would love to see tranny temp, fuel psi etc.. but is this possible?
I'll be trying the "test results" option later to have it look for the coil / cylinder misfire.
TIA
Dont think the gassers have a fuel pressure sensor.
im running a innovative WBO2 to monitor the fuel.
Should be able to see all that stuff in torque. I used torque in a lsx swap i did to monitor a bunch off stuff when i had a samsung tablet mounted in the dash.
Mine is a 2000 V10
On my tow rig EX I find that having the throttle position % displayed is handy to manage the trans operation, I know from experience now how much throttle I can roll in on a grade to keep it in OD without forcing a downshift before its really needed. I also keep instant MPG, trip MPG, intake air temp, DTE and coolant temp on the first page of my display (Ultra-Gauge), the trans temp and rear differential temp are monitored on standalone gauges.
MasterX, if it is not too much trouble could you provide some guidance on how you were able to get your torque pro app to display the items you listed? Thanks
Ill step out to the truck when i get a minute and grab a screenshot, i have an Android 10 inch head unit in there which runs torque, and controls my SDR Listening Post system. Im using the OBDLink EX, its just the corded version which loads faster than the wireless ones.
Here is a video demonstration...
Take note in the fourth screenshot ensure you are on this protocol, its the only one that works properly on mine within Torque.
