I just got a 2021 F-250 lithium gray with HCTP and I am looking at new wheels and this is the first truck in a while that I’m going to put new wheels in on. I am wondering if there’s any brands to stay away from or what the best brands are on the market. I will be towing pretty regular and would be around 12,000 lbs so I want something that’s going to stand up over time but I haven’t really ever heard of any wheel failures form heavy loads either.
Lots of good wheels out there. I’d recommend finding what you like and posting back here for feedback including mfg, sizes, offset.
an unpopular comment but worth making: OEM wheels are actually excellent quality, unlikely to be beat. consider new takeoffs if there is a style you like. If OEM isn’t the style you want, I defer to my first comment… but I thought I’d throw this out there since not everyone considers it.
Just make sure the weight rating of the wheel is equal to or greater than your stock ones. I’ve ran several sets of KMC XDs and Methods with great results.
