Need Tow Mirrors
Hi all. I have 97 7.3 PSD. I have electric adjustable mirrors. I also have a 25 ft 5th wheel that I can not see around. The truck cam with flag style mirrors. I am trying to find a source for a replacement extendable mirror. I current use the CEPA attachment mirrors but they only give me about 4 inches of difference. I want my mirrors to reach out there. I would also like electric if possible. Key concern is filling the holes Ford made in the door to install the factory mirrors. Not into body work, I just want something that will fit.
By the way, why did Ford put little mirrors on a truck that came equipped with "Towing Package"?

There is a lot of mirrors on ebay. Guy's take off the trailor tow ones and replace them with heated, signal type.
The stock ford one's are the best. I got mine at a Ford dealer. It is a kit to convert from Areo type to Trailer tow heated. They're for a 02 Excursion.

What kind of pic's do you want?
Their stock Ford. The newer signal ones are more popular now, but more money.
They only will fit ford. Their are after market ones similiar for other vechiles.

Also I've seen other brands. Their expensive, but worth the difference if you have to tow or have a camper, etc.

and hence the rub... the selection of aftermarket mirrors for the 97 and olders stink.
I haven't layed any golden eggs lately to pay for the powervision mirrors ... look like they may work

check www.jcwhitney.com i have the ford factory tow mirrors, although not power (don't know if ford even offered power tow mirrors in out years) but they look exactly like the ones at www.jcwhitney.com... i guess it's a start
p.s. the 99+ mirrors will not fit with out a bunch of body work or deleting of the wing window

I just bought my truck 2 days ago. I cant seem to find a decent towing mirror option to replace my stock mirrors.
You would think there would be a larger mirror that could bolt on to the existing bracket.
If anyone has any info on this - i would really appreciate it.
