My AC mechanic diagnosed my air only coming out of defrost problem down to the vacuum solenoid being bad. This is not the one you can replace the o-rings on. The part is discontinued, and not available for sale new anywhere online. No Ford dealerships in the US database show that any of them have even one of these parts left. I’m leery about getting a used one from a pull yard, but it may be my only option. Does anyone happen to have one of these parts in good working order or know where I can find one?

Check out ones for the same year F-250. Many parts are interchangeable. I don't have experience with that item but you might visit your local Ford dealer parts department and see what replacement number they give you. Stuff like that sitting in a junk yard may work well or only a short time which puts you back to square one.
That’s the part!! I knew someone on here could help me find it. Thank you! Of course I would really like to have found a new one, but there aren’t any. I called my local Ford dealer, talked to the parts department manager, he looked it up & it’s the exact same part for the 2003-2005 Excursions and 2005-2007 Super Duty F250-350. He also checked and found that no dealer in the US has the part. I also couldn’t find a new one anywhere online.
The part you linked to from EBay said it has been tested as functioning properly. I found an F250 super duty in a junk yard about 100 miles from me. It’s been on the lot for about 6 weeks, and the place doesn’t inventory parts. No way of knowing if it’s still in the vehicle or knowing for sure if it would work.
I went ahead and ordered this from the EBay seller. Hopefully it will work and get me back in business. If anyone sees this part in a junkyard or has one from a scrap vehicle, hold on to it. These things are obviously rare. Thanks again so much for the help, and I’ll report back how it goes. Part should arrive by the end of the month.
The part won’t arrive until possibly July 29th. I haven’t received it yet, so I don’t know if it will work or not. It should. As far as the 2005 question. This should be the same part for 2003-2005 Excursions and 2005-2007 Super Duties, according to the parts manager at my local Ford dealer. I would call to verify though.
