I have a 97 ford f150 lariate 4.6 . changed starter, soleniod on firewall, cables, ignition switch, ignition tumbler and neutral safety switch. still all I get is a click. got power to ignition wire. going to solenioid while key ignition is in the on position just before start position. is this normal

Sounds like you've replaced everything else. I know this sounds obvious but lack of battery power can cause this problem . Make sure battery is good and all connections are clean.
