New Member Intro
Hey everyone, just joined the forum this evening. I'm in the aviation industry, but at my heart I LOVE cars. Truck or car, electric or gas, stock or tuned out the wazoo, I absolutely love cars. I'm mechanically inclined, but I haven't put my heart into learning the ins and outs of cars (hence why I'm here). My first project (and yes, she is a PROJECT) is a 1976 F150 Ranger XLT. I want this to be my personal truck someday, maybe pass it down to one of my kiddos, but for now this is what I want for me and my happiness. It has no motor (came with the 460), no tranny (buddy has gifted me an automatic T85 with an overdrive, unsure if that makes sense), reinforced front end suspension, the interior is trashed, needs paint, some body work I imagine, but all in all it's going to take a lot of time and money.....and I'm absolutely willing to take my time. I have LOTS of questions and ideas about this restoration and modifications possible. I want to give it a modern twist to really make it my own. I'll post some pictures after I'm back from vacation, but I really hope to learn a lot from y'all along the way too. Hope all is well with y'all, cheers.
