The last one is just a resonator. I am running a punched out cat, 2.25 pipe with a raptor turbo. Not ricer sounding, and not loud. pretty deep sounding for only a 2.8. Nice burble at idle.
I am runnin a full 2.25'' cat-back Flowmaster exhaust. Sounds very nice, gives my BII a MUCH beefier sound, it is night and day. To make it sound even deeper and throatier, throw in an intake. Let me know if you need more info.
Don't mean to take over your thread. But I just changed the exhaust today removed all them three things you mentioned,
I cut them off leaving about 2 1/2 " just behind the first collector
now I have what I need to run dual exhaust, although down one side.so I had 2 -10" pc.of pipes bent just slightly turn away from
the other.these pipes or 2"o/d they will slip over the pipes I left
then I got 2 -25" glass mufflers connected them side by side keeping them apart don't rattle.then run the tail pipes on back
and turned them down at the front of the rear-end .
But of course you may have stiffer sniffer Laws where your at..
