DIS Ignition modules

Does anyone have any thoughts about ignition systems? It seems that in true Ford fashion the less expensive systems MSD Mallory, Accell etc do not work with the Ford Dual coil. In order to upgrade the cost goes from $75.00 for a MSD 6a to $350.00 for the Dis 4 pn 6215. This does not include the $150.00 for the tach and fuel adapters.

Any ideas about options? Ebay is not an option, average price is $325.00 with out adapters.
